I found Medology right when I needed them the most - I went from 4/4 rejections to an offer from my first choice university to study dentistry. They truly gave me the confidence I needed to believe in myself when I thought I couldn’t.

The live experience

Five or Six Students. Plenty of Time to Find Your Voice.

Speaking is a substantial part of the Journey. You will answer questions, explain your thinking, discuss different perspectives and practise responding when challenged. Your mentor gets to know how you communicate. Where you rush. When your answers lose structure. How you handle a follow-up question. Working together over twelve weeks gives you time to understand those patterns and improve them.

This is What

Development Looks Like.

Across the Journey, sessions combine teaching, active practice, discussion and feedback. The format changes with the topic - from ethical scenarios and role-plays to timed interview simulations.

Get Started
01

Encounter the question

Work with a question, scenario or task that asks you to apply your understanding.

02

Put your thinking into words

Give your response. Explain your reasoning.

Practise communicating an answer clearly enough for someone else to follow.

03

Explore it further

Respond to follow-up questions, consider another perspective and discuss the approach with your group.

04

Understand the feedback

Identify what worked and what needs attention: your structure, reasoning, clarity, listening or delivery.

05

Take something forward

Leave with a clearer sense of what to work on, then apply it as your practice continues.

You do not need to get everything right. You need the opportunity to practise, understand and improve.

Dr Masood Ahmed

Dr Masood, one of the most senior healthcare leaders in the world, helps shape the intellectual direction of the programme, drawing on experience across NHS and global healthcare leadership.

His perspective connects interview preparation with the responsibilities of healthcare itself: clear judgement, thoughtful communication and the ability to earn trust. Students are preparing to enter a profession. That wider context matters.

Faculty Director - The Interview Journey

Your Small-Group Mentors

Our faculty brings together doctors, dentists, medical and dental students, combining senior professional insight with the perspective of those who have recently succeeded in the admissions process.
‍
Based on your application profile, universities, course and individual needs, we carefully match you with the mentor we believe is best placed to support you throughout the Journey. You will learn from clinicians who understand healthcare, professionalism and what it takes to develop into a future doctor, alongside mentors who were recently in your position and understand the realities of applications, interviews and the transition into university.

Through sustained mentorship, they help you move beyond memorised answers and develop the judgement, communication and confidence to articulate your thinking clearly under pressure.

Imaan Ranjha

Dental Student | Manchester

"I left The Interview Journey feeling like I could smash anything. I went from overthinking every question and worrying about my answers and worrying about saying the 'right' thing to actually trusting myself, thinking clearly under pressure and walking into interviews with confidence."

Aryansh Mohapatra

Medical Student | Buckingham

Four-pointed red star with curved edges on a transparent background.

"The interview preparation was a game changer because Medology went in and out with the most common and uncommon questions that could be asked, so we had the understanding on how to deliver the answer to anything. I love how they involve everyone and ensure no one is behind."

Rumlah Yaqub

Medical Student | Cambridge

Four-pointed red star with curved edges on a transparent background.

"The Interview Journey supported me all the way throughout my entire interview preparation - giving me a deep understanding of what to expect and building my confidence. I am now a medical student at the University of Cambridge, a dream that would have been impossible to achieve without Medology."

A Programme with a Track Record

A note on success rates: Be cautious of individuals or organisations claiming success rates approaching 100%. No programme can guarantee an admissions outcome, and credible results should always be presented transparently and with appropriate context.

Small-group Mentorship Has Been At The Heart Of The Journey Since 2020.

Seven editions later, that founding commitment continues to shape how we teach: sustained relationships, active participation and development over time.

The programme sits within Medology, a doctor-led healthcare education social enterprise supporting students from their first interest in healthcare through their professional development. We reinvest in education, outreach and widening access.

Medology's wider work has included collaborations with the General Medical Council, Faculty of Medical Leadership & Management and Deloitte.

Beyond admission

Your Development Does Not End With An Offer.

These are not just interview skills. They are foundations for medical school, clinical practice, professional life and leadership.

Admissions, questions and application

Bring Your Commitment. Make Room For Growth.

The 2026/27 Interview Journey is designed for students applying to UK medical and dental schools for 2027 entry. You do not need to arrive naturally confident or highly polished. You do need to attend, participate, practise and take feedback seriously.

Applying outside the UK?

Contact us before applying so we can advise whether this programme fits your admissions pathway.

Do I need an interview invitation before joining?

No. In fact, we strongly recommend joining before interview invitations are released. The Interview Journey is designed to build your ability gradually over 12 weeks, rather than relying on last-minute preparation. Starting early gives you time to develop your judgement, communication, confidence and interview technique properly, so that when invitations arrive, you are already well prepared.

How are mentors selected, trained and allocated?

Our faculty includes doctors, dentists, medical students and dental students with strong experience in admissions and interview preparation.Mentors are selected carefully and trained in the Medology approach to interview preparation. We also consider your application profile when allocating you to a mentor, including the universities you are applying to, your degree choice, your strengths and the areas in which you would benefit from the most support. The aim is to match you with someone who can support your development throughout the programme, rather than simply placing you into a generic teaching group.

How is preparation tailored for Medicine and Dentistry?

Medicine and Dentistry share many core interview competencies, including ethics, communication, professionalism, teamwork, reflection and decision-making. However, we also recognise the important differences between the two pathways. Throughout the programme, examples, scenarios, questioning and feedback are adapted where appropriate to reflect the profession you are applying to, including profession-specific motivation, current issues and interview expectations.

How do the Saturday and Sunday cohorts work?

The programme runs across two equivalent cohorts:
‍Cohort A: Saturday mornings
Cohort B: Sunday mornings
Both cohorts follow the same curriculum and receive the same level of teaching, mentorship and support. You will normally remain within your allocated cohort throughout the programme, helping you build continuity with your mentor and fellow students.

What happens if I miss a session?

We understand that school, exams, family commitments and other circumstances can occasionally make attendance difficult. If you miss a session, you will still have access to the relevant learning materials and supporting resources so that you can catch up. Where possible, the team will also help you understand what was covered and what you should focus on before the following week. Consistent attendance is strongly encouraged, as much of the value comes from live practice, discussion and feedback.

What preparation is expected between sessions?

The Interview Journey is not designed to overwhelm you with excessive homework. Between sessions, you may be asked to complete focused preparation such as reflection tasks, question practice, reading, current affairs review or short exercises designed to reinforce what was covered that week. The emphasis is on purposeful practice rather than volume. The more actively you engage between sessions, the more you are likely to gain from the programme.

What if my interview is before the programme finishes?

This is common, and the programme is designed with this in mind.If your interview is scheduled before Week 12, your mentor can help you prioritise the areas most relevant to your upcoming interview and focus your preparation accordingly. You will also continue to benefit from the wider programme structure, practice opportunities and resources leading up to your interview.

What are the Christmas arrangements?

The programme schedule is planned around the school calendar and the medical and dental admissions cycle. Any Christmas break dates, timetable adjustments or additional support sessions will be communicated clearly in advance. Where appropriate, resources and preparation guidance will continue to be available during the holiday period so that students with January interviews can remain on track.

Where and when are the in-person activities?

In-person activities are organised separately from the weekly online programme and are designed to give students further opportunities for realistic interview practice. Exact dates, locations and eligibility depend on your package and will be communicated in advance. For students whose package includes an in-person MMI Day or Interview Crash Course, full logistical details will be provided once dates are confirmed.

What support continues after Week 12?

The end of Week 12 does not mean you are suddenly left on your own. Students continue to retain access to relevant programme resources and guidance during the interview period, with additional support provided where appropriate as interviews continue. The aim is to ensure that you enter the admissions cycle feeling supported, prepared and confident, not simply to deliver 12 weeks of teaching and disappear.

Are payment plans or bursaries available?

Yes.We want strong applicants to be able to access high-quality interview preparation regardless of financial circumstances. Payment plan options may be available, and a limited bursary scheme is offered for students who would otherwise struggle to access the programme. If cost is a genuine barrier, we encourage you to contact the team before applying so that we can discuss the options available.
